A Bryan man who was the subject of a manhunt two weeks ago south of the Texas A&M campus has admitted in Brazos County district court to stealing a pickup and causing a hit and run crash. That’s part of a plea agreement 33 year old Scott Pettit made with the district attorney’s office that resulted in a four year prison sentence. The punishment also covers guilty pleas Pettit made to charging more than $200 dollars on a stolen credit card last June and to stealing a cell phone last July. According to online records, this is the third time Pettit is entering the state prison system.

A Brazos County district court jury has found a Bryan man guilty of evading arrest twice in the same incident. Then the guilty party reached a punishment agreement with the district attorney’s office. 24 year old Andres Pachuca was sentenced to a total of five years in prison. According to Bryan police arrest reports, in May 2018 an officer attempted to pull over a pickup truck that failed to make a proper stop. The first count of evading arrest was Pachuca driving a mile before stopping. The second count was when Pachuca stopped then ran away from the officer. According to online jail records, Pachuca was also sentenced to six months for six misdemeanor crimes…including two counts of driving while intoxicated and three counts of resisting arrest.
