Ten Brazos Valley Applications For New Texas Hemp Licenses

Texas agriculture commissioner Sid Miller announced this week, that the first industrial license to grow hemp went to a farmer in Killeen.

The state agriculture department has received 546 applications. Most applications are to grow hemp. Two other categories are for handlers and for handler samplers.

An ag department spokesman tells WTAW News they have received ten applications from the Brazos Valley.

There are two from College Station, one from Bryan, two from Caldwell and Marquez, and one from Franklin, Anderson, and Normangee.
