Local Police Respond To Injury Crashes After Drivers Run Stop Signs & Lights

Bryan police report a two vehicle crash Monday night on the city’s west side may involve alcohol as a contributing factor. At the intersection of Leonard Road and Highway 47, officers were told a westbound SUV that failed to stop struck a northbound SUV. The driver of the northbound vehicle is hospitalized in stable condition. The driver of the westbound vehicle, who was treated and released, was ticketed for failing to stop and not having a license and insurance.

A crash closed Rock Prairie Road at the freeway for about two hours during Monday afternoon’s commute. College Station police report an eastbound SUV ran a red light and was struck by the other SUV, which was on the southbound feeder road.
