College Station City Council Fills Two Vacancies And Waits To Fill A Third On An Advisory Body

The pending results of this week’s College Station city council special election also has an impact on filling a vacancy on an advisory body.

During the council’s last meeting, Mayor Karl Mooney responded to the question of filling a council vacancy to the Spring Creek government board.

This is the second time this month the council has address vacancies on the board that among other things, handles real estate transactions involving city property in the area of the Midtown business park and the College Station business center.

Three weeks ago, the council on a split vote delayed two community appointments to allow more time for applications.

The council chose to reappoint one person, Jane Kee, and appoint a new person, Thomas Jackson.
