Bryan Police Update

News release courtesy of Bryan police:

On January 22, 2015, police arrested Tylar Denzel Davis age 17 of Bryan for two counts of Aggravated Robbery (one for each clerk at the Handi Stop).

Davis was the gunman in the robbery that occurred at the Handi Stop and was linked through fingerprint identification.

He was arrested without incident at his home.

Due to his age his photo cannot be released.

The investigation continues into the other robberies and people involved.

If anyone has information they are asked to contact police.

News release of the Tuesday night armed robbery at Palasota Grocery from Bryan police:

On January 20, 2015 at 9:30pm Bryan Officers responded to Palasota Grocery located at 1409 Palasota Dr. for an Aggravated Robbery that had just occurred.

Four subjects wearing hoodies and face coverings entered the convenience store and demanded money.  One subject displayed a firearm.

The suspects obtained some personal items of the two clerks inside the store, and undisclosed amount of money, and cigarettes and then fled on foot.

One clerk received minor injuries that did not require medical attention.

At this time the case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division.

It is believed that the same subjects were involved in the robberies at the Handi Stop and Sodolaks.

Suspect #1:  Gunman Male 5’08-5’11 medium build wearing a dark blue hoodie, black sweatpants, blue bandana and striped beanie

Suspect #2: Male 5’07-6’00 with medium build wearing black fluffy jacket, black pants, black beanie.

Suspect #3: Male 5’08-6’00 with thin build wearing black hoodie, grey sweat pants, and red bandana

Suspect #4: Unknown 5’05-5’07 with thin build wearing a Dallas Cowboy jacket, light hoodie underneath, and dark pants.

Officer Kelley McKethan of the Bryan Police Department visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver about two armed robberies at local convenience stores over the last five days, a reminder to returning college students to protect themselves from vehicle burglaries, and locations of increased traffic enforcement.

News release of the Monday night armed robbery at Handi Stop from Bryan police:

On January 19, 2015 at 9:00 p.m. Bryan Officers responded to the Handi Stop Convenience Store located at 1201 W. William Joel Bryan for an Aggravated Robbery that had just occurred. Four subjects wearing hoodies and face coverings entered the convenience store and demanded money. One subject displayed a firearm. The suspects obtained some personal items of the two clerks inside the store, and undisclosed amount of money, and cigarettes and then fled on foot. No one was injured during the robbery. At this time the case has been turned over to the Criminal Investigation Division.
