Firefighters from two of College Station’s six fire stations responded to an overnight fire that destroyed the Krispy Kreme doughnuts store. A CSFD spokesman says no one was injured and no one was inside the building. Investigators from CSFD and the state fire marshal’s office spent the day looking through the remains in their attempt to determine a cause. Due to intense flames resulting in a partial collapse of the building, firefighters were not able to get inside. Firefighters responded to a call from an employee of a neighboring restaurant who heard an explosion.
