Brazos County Commissioners have extended the fire ban in unincorporated areas another 60 days. During this week’s meeting the board also enacted a partial ban on fireworks in rural areas. It’s illegal to shoot off skyrockets, missiles, and devices with fins. Small common fireworks are still allowed in rural areas as are fireworks shows.

Two Bryan men arrested Christmas Eve 2009 for an armed robbery in College Station are in or headed to prison. 20 year old Rodderick Gilbert entered a guilty plea this week in Brazos County District Court.
