Thanks to a WTAW listener for sharing that “there are still people, even at large companies, that are decent and good.”

The listener passed along what happened to an elderly associate at the College Station Home Depot store last Saturday morning (July 26).

The employee, Sam, tells our listener that he fell while walking to his car to go to work. While on the ground and unable to get up, Sam calls the store to report he will be late for work.

An assistant manager tells the store manager. The manager, who is relatively new to the store, gets Sam’s address and finds Sam still on the ground.

The manager assists Sam into his home and makes sure he is safe and sound.

Sam’s family convinces him to go to the hospital to be checked out.

And Sam tells our listener that other than being sore, all was fine.

Our listener closes by saying “That is what I call taking care of people.”
