Women’s Golf Ranked No. 7 in Golfweek Preseason Poll

The Texas A&M women’s Golf team was ranked No. 7 in the Golfweek Preseason Poll, the organization announced Wednesday.
Texas A&M boasts a loaded roster with five golfers in the top 200 of the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) with Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio (No. 36), Vanessa Borovilos (No. 45), Scarlett Schremmer (No. 62), Louise Reau (No. 104) and Natalie Yen (No. 178) leading the way.
The Aggies are led by fifth-year head coach Gerrod Chadwell who has taken the team to two NCAA semifinals (2022, 2023) and one NCAA quarterfinal (2024) during his time with the program. Chadwell signed the No. 2 recruiting class to go along with All-Americans Borovilos and Fernández García-Poggio and inked elite transfer Reau this offseason.
The Maroon & White begin the season at The Carmel Cup at the historic Pebble Beach Golf Links Aug. 29-31. Live stats for the event can be found at scoreboard.clppd.com.
