Women Arrested at Bryan Walmart For Shoplifting, Criminal Trespass

A man was arrested for criminal trespass and resisting arrest after refusing to leave a College Station McDonald’s. CSPD responded to the McDonald’s at 2420 Texas Avenue South just after noon on Tuesday after employees say 25-year-old Montarius Travonn Love tried to enter the kitchen area. Love reportedly became agitated while waiting for his food and pushed an employee who tried to stop him. When he was asked to leave, Love hid in the women’s restroom. Officers say he kicked and pulled away as they tried to take him into custody. Love was arrested on charges of criminal trespass and resisting arrest. He was released on $9,000 bond. A man was arrested for public intoxication after College Station police responded to a suspicious-person call at A&M Consolidated High School Tuesday night. Officers were called to Consol around 9:30pm on August 18th. Police said 36-year-old Bob Esquivel approached two high school girls while they were painting their parking spaces. According to the report, Esquivel would not leave the girls alone, and they became uncomfortable with the situation. Officers report that Esquivel was swaying back and forth and his speech was slurred. He reportedly told police he had been walking by and approached the students to work on his social skills. He denied having alcohol or other intoxicating substances in his system and said he planned to walk back home. Esquivel failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for Public Intoxication. He was released earlier today on a personal recognizance bond — even though this was his 26th visit to the Brazos County Jail. His previous arrests include several arrests for criminal trespass, possession, public intoxication, and assault of EMS personnel. Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) announced that all lanes of State Highway Six at Briarcrest Drive will be closed intermittently on Saturday, August 22 from 6:00-8:00am as crews remove power lines to make way for further progress on the Big 6 project. Turn lanes from Briarcrest onto the SH6 access roads will also be closed intermittently. BTU is committing extra manpower to ensure work is completed as quickly as possible, and traffic control personnel will be on-hand to keep traffic moving as work allows. BTU expects intermittent roadway closures that last approximately ten minutes at a time. No customer outages are expected due to this work. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and find alternate routes to their destinations during these closures. For the safety of the public and the crews working on the job, this work must be done during daylight hours. BTU apologizes for any inconvenience these closures will cause, and appreciates your patience as we assist in necessary infrastructure improvements that will benefit the Brazos Valley for years to come.
