What Happened After Out Of Town College Station Residents Notify Police About A Stranger In Their Home

College Station police responds to a report from a family that is out of town getting a video notification of a stranger in their home at 4:20 Thursday morning (December 26).

That leads to officers running down a suspect who gets caught then resists arrest and refuses to give his name.

Officers recover a gun that was stolen from the home.

34 year old Alphonso Turner of College Station was charged with burglary of a habitation, evading and resisting arrest, possessing a THC vape pen and possessing a misdemeanor amount of marijuana.

As of December 26th, Turner was jailed in lieu of bonds totaling $135,000 dollars.

Online court records show Turner is awaiting trials for felony evading arrest following an arrest in August of 2023, felony possession of a controlled substance following an arrest in May of 2019, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana arrests that took place in May and December of 2019.

Online court records also show Turner pleaded guilty to four home burglaries that took place in the summer of 2008, an armed robbery that took place in April 2010, and misdemeanor evading arrests that took place in June and August of 2008.
