Saturday (January 31) at 5:40 in the morning, College Station police responded to a report of an overturned SUV in the parking lot of a body shop. When the officer arrived, the driver was still in the upside down vehicle. And there was evidence the SUV struck three parked trucks. The 24 year old driver was arrested for DWI. Johnathan Wade of The Woodlands is out of jail after posting a $3,000 dollar bond.
College Station police stopped a car Saturday morning (January 31) at 10:30 in the Big 6 construction zone that had expired registration. The CSPD arrest report says when the officer asked the driver for his license and insurance, the driver provided an affidavit which read “Legal Notice To All Law Enforcement” which did not contain the driver’s name or his drivers license number. Then the driver refused to get out of his car. After multiple requests, the officer broke the passenger side window to unlock the car. The driver was removed from his car by two officers. That led to the arrest of 54 year old Timothy James Owens of Houston for driving with an invalid license with prior convictions, refusing to identify himself, interfering with public duties, having expired registration, and a traffic charge warrant from Milam County. Owens is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $13,000 dollars.
A Bryan police officer on Saturday (January 31) just before 3 a.m. saw a SUV make a turn and change lanes without using a turn signal. That led to a traffic stop where the officer learned the driver had five prior convictions for driving with an invalid license (DWLI) in Lumberton, which is north of Beaumont. That led to the arrest of 33 year old Ramiro Jonathan Mendoza of Bryan for DWLI with prior convictions and possessing a THC vape pen. Mendoza is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $8,000 dollars.
Another Bryan police officer on Saturday (January) just before noon stopped a car for registration that expired in July of 2022. The officer learned the driver had no insurance and her license was suspended three times in 2025. 31 year old Meagen Coleman of Bryan was arrested for driving with prior suspensions and without insurance. Coleman is out of jail after posting a $3,000 dollar bond. And online court records show she is awaiting a trial after she was arrested in November 2025 for driving with an invalid license.
