College Station police arriving at the scene of a head on crash Friday night (March 29th) on Wellborn Road at Jones Crossing find a S-U-V on the shoulder that was not involved in the collision. But the driver of the S-U-V wound up in jail on multiple charges. CSPD arrest reports say the results of breath alcohol tests measured nearly three times the legal limit at .229. 26 year old Jose Regis of College Station was also charged with possessing cocaine. And he is being held on warrants in five unrelated cases which includes charges of violating probation in two prior drug convictions. Regis remained in jail as of April 1 on bonds from the latest arrest and the unrelated warrants that totals $27,000 dollars. WTAW News has asked CSPD for details of the crash on Wellborn Road near FM 2818 because Regis’s arrest report says the collision involved a wrong way driver.

Bryan firefighters rescue a driver from a submerged pickup truck. Then Bryan police arrest the driver for D-W-I and possessing three vape pens containing T-H-C. This happened Sunday morning (March 31) during the one o’clock hour on Harvey Mitchell Parkway near Turkey Creek Road. The BPD arrest report says 23 year old Leslie Don Juan failed field sobriety tests after the rescue, which followed her truck going into a water filled embankment. Don Juan remains jailed as of April 1 in lieu of bonds totaling $10,000 dollars.
