Two drug arrests in less than 24 hours happened over the weekend in the Northgate Parking Garage.
Two off duty peace officers detained two individuals around 3 a.m. on Saturday after smelling marijuana in their vehicle.
According to the CSPD arrest report, officers saw what was believed to be marijuana flakes on one of the men’s pants and found a baggie of marijuana in the vehicle.
After being arrested for possession of marijuana, officers searched 21 year-old Joe Duron and found a baggie of ecstasy in his sock. He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
According to online records, this is Duron’s 10th arrest in 5 years.
Then on Saturday just before midnight, a College Station police officer smelling marijuana in the parking garage led to the arrest of a College Station man on multiple drug charges.
According to the CSPD arrest report, officers started questioning a group of people who exited the vehicle emitting the odor.
One officer found a baggy of methamphetamine and a silver metal measuring spoon in the pocket of 29 year-old Altay Pulak.
Another officer found a backpack belonging to Pulak in the vehicle that contained a bottle of Alprazolam pills, marijuana and a smoking pipe.
According to online records, this is Pulak’s 10th time in jail in 12 years.
