Gunfire northeast of Bryan Saturday night was part of a disturbance involving at least four people..two of whom were injured and a third being arrested.

Four Brazos County sheriff’s deputies responded to a home on Shady Lane that according to an arrest report began as two men hitting a third man, who fell down and was kicked in the head.

At some point, the victim said one of the men was pointing a handgun at his head until the man with the gun realized that he had been shot.

The man who was shot had a broken bone on his lower left leg and a bullet hole in his lower right leg.

The other man accused of hitting and kicking the victim, 26 year old Kolton Luensmann of Bryan, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury.

Luensmann’s arrest report indicated the victim’s mother fired several warning shots in the ground to get the two men to stop assaulting her son.

Luensmann is out of jail after posting a $4,000 dollar bond. As of Tuesday afternoon, online jail records showed no other arrests have been made.
