Weekend Assaults in BCS

A man is in the hospital with multiple stab wounds from an argument Friday morning before dawn in College Station.

Police Lieutenant Chuck Fleeger says at least two men fled the scene on foot, and were later found and interviewed for their side of the story, but no one has been arrested yet.

The victim’s injuries are not life-threatening.

Fleeger says the stabbing, which began as a verbal argument, took place outside an apartment complex near the intersection of Welsh and Southwest parkway.

Meanwhile, two men are in the hospital after a shooting in Bryan Saturday night.

Police report this was in a neighborhood near the junction of La Brisa and Harvey Mitchell Parkway.

Investigators say a fight between two groups who were involved in an ongoing dispute led to one man pulling out a gun and firing multiple shots.

Bryan police say the two victims, James Munson, 29, of Bryan and his brother, Johnathan Munson, 26, have substantial injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The gunman escaped the scene with a woman in a dark-colored Mitsubishi Gallant, but has been identified and is cooperating with police.
