Traffic on Texas in front of Texas A&M was slowed down Wednesday morning (October 1) following the collision of a moped and a SUV. A College Station police spokesman says the moped driver suffered serious non life threatening injuries. The moped driver was wearing a helmet. The driver of the SUV was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way.
Wednesday afternoon, a portion of East Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Bryan between Texas and Waco was blocked. A Bryan police spokesman said a distracted driver resulted in their vehicle leaving the roadway and striking a power pole, causing power lines to fall. No one was injured. And there was no evidence that the driver was impaired.
