A Hearne woman admits in Brazos County district court to violating probation after pleading guilty in May 2018 to a stabbing that took place in Bryan in November 2016.

Court records show a plea agreement was reached last week (July 28) with the district attorney’s office that sentences 33 year old Mariah Childs to two years in prison.

32 violations from 2018 through 2021 included multiple times that Childs consumed alcohol and illegal drugs and failing to show up for drug and alcohol testing.

Childs admitted to what a Bryan police arrest report says was stabbing a victim during a disturbance, resulting in the victim receiving a small cut on the right temple on her head and a small cut on her right forearm.
