HENDERSON, Texas (AP) _ The capital murder trial of a man accused of killing a child during an exorcism will be moved outside Rusk County.
State District Judge Clay Gossett has signed the order that would move the trial of Blaine Keith Milam, 20, the Tyler Morning Telegraph reported. Jury selection is scheduled to begin in January.
Milam and Jessica Carson were arrested late last year in the beating death of Carson’s 13-month-old toddler, Amora Bain Carson. Investigators say the couple used a hammer to “beat the demons out” of her.
Gossett has not yet found a new location for the trial. Jessica Carson has yet to be tried.
