Monday morning update:
College Station police now report the crash was on W.D. Fitch near the freeway.
A 40 year old man from Hearne riding a motorcycle on Fitch looked over his shoulder and drifted to the left.
As he attempted to correct for this he lost control of the motorcycle.
He was transported to a local hospital by ambulance where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
He was not wearing a helmet.

A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries following a crash in south College Station Friday night.
Police report finding a 40 year old Hearne man and the motorcycle on the southbound freeway frontage road south of W.D. Fitch.
Investigators believe no other vehicles were involved, and they are asking anyone with information to call CSPD at 979-764-3600.
A news release did not state if the victim was wearing a helmet.
The road was closed for two hours before reopening about 10 p.m.
