Update:
HOUSTON (AP) — Police say a body found this week has been identified as a 14-year-old Houston-area girl who had been missing since her father was found fatally shot in a rural area north of the city.
Houston police spokeswoman Jodi Silva said Friday evening that a decomposing body found in west Houston on Wednesday has been identified as Adriana Coronado.
The girl had been missing since Saturday.
Investigators believe Adriana might have been with her father, Caesar Vladimir Coronado, when he was killed. His body was found Sunday about 80 miles north of Houston in Walker County.
Silva says a cause of death for Adriana is pending.
The Walker County’s Sheriff’s Office on Thursday released surveillance video of a person of interest in the case.

HOUSTON (AP) _ Authorities are asking for help in identifying a person of interest in the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl missing after her father’s body was discovered shot and dumped in a ditch in a rural area north of Houston.
Walker County Sheriff Clint McRae says authorities believe Adriana Coronado of the Houston suburb of Katy is still alive but don’t have a motive for her disappearance or the slaying of her father, Caesar Vladimir Coronado.
Authorities on Thursday released surveillance video showing a heavy-set man leaving the father’s truck in Conroe, about 40 miles north of Houston. In the video, the truck is apparently set on fire and the man runs away.
Caesar Coronado’s body was discovered Sunday in Walker County, about 80 miles north of Houston.
