Original story:

College Station police are investigating separate reports of moving vehicles striking two pedestrians and a bicyclist early Saturday morning.

Investigators say the two pedestrians failed to yield the right of way while crossing George Bush Drive at Dexter Saturday shortly before 1 a.m. One of the pedestrians hit by an eastbound car is hospitalized with potentially life threatening injuries and the other sustained minor injuries. The driver of the car, 21 year old Samuel Huerta of College Station, was arrested for DWI. According to a CSPD statement, the driver was not charged with intoxication assault because the pedestrians failed to yield the right of way. The intersection was closed for about three hours, and anyone with information is asked to call CSPD at 979-764-3600.

A bicyclist is hospitalized after he was struck by a hit and run driver before sunrise Saturday morning. College Station police report this was on the southbound freeway service road between Cavender’s and Allen Honda. According to a CSPD statement, anyone in the area Saturday morning between 3:50 and 4:00 who saw a dark colored vehicle or witnessed the bicyclist being hit is asked to call 979-764-3600.
