UPDATE: Bryan ISD Releases Maps of Proposed New Attendance Zones

The Bryan school district has released maps of proposed new attendance zones.

This comes ahead of two public forums to share opinions about the new boundaries, reflecting the change in elementary schools to kindergarten through fourth grade, adding intermediate schools for fifth and sixth grades, and changing middle schools to seventh and eighth grades.

The first forum is Thursday at Sam Rayburn middle school, and the second is April 12 at Jane Long middle school. Both forums start at 6 p.m.

Final action by the Bryan ISD school board could come as early as May.

New boundaries would go into affect in the fall of 2017.
