College Station residential trash collection has been slowed down this week due to unscheduled trash truck repairs.

On Tuesday, the city’s public works department told WTAW News they were down to two trucks for four routes Tuesday morning and had three trucks Tuesday afternoon after borrowing one from the city of Bryan.

According to the city statement, the two trucks were “in the shop for unplanned corrective repairs.”

The city planned to have three College Station trucks and one from Bryan on Wednesday to cover each route.

The repairs may cause collection delays for the rest of the week.
