United Way of the Brazos Valley announces the selection of a new president/CEO.

Lizett Hawkins brings more than 25 years of non profit leadership and development experience that includes local fundraising positions at the 12th Man Foundation, Hospice Brazos Valley, and St. Mary’s Catholic Center.

Hawkins takes over for interim president/CEO Sheree Boegner, who served in that position since late May following the resignation of Peggi Ondrasek.

United Way of the Brazos Valley is proud to announce the appointment of Lizett Hawkins as its new President & CEO, effective August 04, 2025. With a strong record of nonprofit leadership in the Brazos Valley, Hawkins has a passion for community transformation and will guide the organization into its next chapter.

Lizett Hawkins brings over 25 years of nonprofit leadership and development experience to her new role as President & CEO of United Way of the Brazos Valley. A dedicated member of the community, Hawkins has served in key fundraising roles at the 12th Man Foundation, Hospice Brazos Valley, and St. Mary’s Catholic Center. She has led cross-functional teams to advance mission-driven fundraising and is known for her ability to build strong donor relationships that drive impact.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lizett Hawkins as the next President & CEO of United Way of the Brazos Valley,” said Max Crawford, United Way Board Chair. “Her experience, vision, and heart for the community align with our mission. We are confident in her ability to lead us and deepen our impact across the Brazos Valley.”

Hawkins holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and has volunteered throughout the Brazos Valley for more than two decades. She lives in College Station with her husband, Jason, and their two sons, Casey and Noah.

“I’m honored to lead United Way of the Brazos Valley into its next chapter,” said Hawkins. “This community has shaped my life and career, and I’m committed to building a stronger, more connected region for everyone who calls it home.”
