The Texas Department of Transportation has released a list of 201 highway projects statewide for 2015.
Three are located in Brazos County, with a combined value of $6,822,003. One was previously announced, the continuation of Earl Rudder freeway ramp relocations from the FM 158 exit north to Highway 21. Also on the list are maintenance projects on Highway 21 near the Highway 47 exit west of Bryan and in College Station on University (FM 60) between Texas and Tarrow.
Four others are in counties that are part of TxDOT’s Bryan district. They included one in Grimes County that was recently announced, the $6.4 million dollar intersection improvement at Highway 105 and FM 1774.
In order of cost, the others are $15 million rebuilding Highway 30 from the Grimes/Walker County line to near Huntsville, $11 million rebuilding Highway 79 from Buffalo to Highway 84 east of Oakwood, and $4.7 million on Highway 21 in Madison County east of Midway.

According to a TxDOT news release, the Texas Comptroller last month certified that $1.74 billion would be available for transportation in 2015. With approval from the Legislature, TxDOT will distribute the funds in this manner:
40 percent to metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) to address congestion;
30 percent to TxDOT districts to address connectivity;
15 percent to TxDOT districts to address maintenance needs; and
15 percent to TxDOT districts for roads in the energy sector.
