Two future highway projects in Robertson County are the subjects of September open houses by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
The first involves replacing the Highway 79 bridge over the Little Brazos River west of Hearne. The project also includes widening the highway to four lanes on both sides of the bridge. The gathering is at Hearne High School on Thursday, September 6, from 4:30 until 6:30.
The second involves a FM 50 overpass over the new Union Pacific railyard. TxDOT is considering to build the overpass in front or behind Mumford High School. That open house is September 20th from 3 p.m. until 6:30 at the Mumford ISD Mustang Room.
