Two Years In Prison For Two Men Entering Plea Agreements In Brazos County District Court

A Bryan man and the Brazos County district attorney’s office reach a plea agreement in six criminal cases. 26 year old Cody Cooper was sentenced to two years in prison for felony theft of a trailer from an elderly person in November of 2021. That punishment also covers four misdemeanor crimes that Cooper committed in 2021 and 2022. That list includes forging a check for more than $1,200 dollars, stealing $640 dollars of power tools from a Bryan business, and two cases of criminal mischief. Brazos County jail records also show as of July 1, Cooper was held on a warrant from Burleson County involving a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

A Somerville man has admitted in Brazos County district court to strangling a woman in her College Station apartment in February of 2023. 28 year old Derrick Underwood was sentenced to two years in prison for family violence assault. A plea agreement included the prosecution was barred from punishing Underwood after he admitted to possessing a dangerous drug.
