Two weekend crashes lead to arrests on charges of DWI with two prior convictions.

Sunday night at Lake Bryan, a parks and wildlife game warden saw a car at a high rate of speed hit a pole head on at the park entrance. According to the arrest report, the results of the driver’s breath alcohol tests measured more than twice the legal limit at .199 and .213. That led to the arrest of a Bryan man, 29 year old Angel Espinoza-Montanez. He was released Tuesday morning after posting a $10,000 dollar bond. The warden’s report made no reference of any passengers in the car.

Sunday shortly before three in the morning, DPS and the sheriff’s office responded to a crash south of College Station involving a pickup truck striking parked car. The driver of the truck, 40 year old Fabian Rivera of Bryan, is out of jail after posting bonds totaling $10,000 dollars. That’s after a DPS trooper arrested Rivera on charges of a third DWI and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. According to the arrest report, Rivera told the trooper he was looking for his cell phone at the time of the collision on the Highway 6 six frontage road near the Southern Pointe development. The DPS report made no reference of any passengers in either vehicle.
