The Brazos County sheriff’s office identified the victims as 52 year old Nancy and 61 year old Gerald Winn.
The sheriff’s office arrest report says 9-1-1 received a call Saturday (January 17) just after 5 p.m. from the wife reporting she and her husband had been shot by 32 year old Ezekiel Barajas.
The wife repeatedly told the 9-1-1 dispatcher Barajas did not live there and she did not know why her son shot her.
The wife said she was in a back room which was locked and her husband was in a bathroom.
Barajas was not at the house in the Steep Hollow community east of Bryan when deputies arrived.
The arrest report also says as first responders were providing medical aid, the wife identified the car her son was driving.
51 minutes after the initial 9-1-1 call, Barajas was found about six miles away in Bryan in the drive thru of a restaurant between the Briarcrest Walmart and Merrill Green stadium.
The arrest report says a gun was recovered from Barajas’s car and he declined to answer any questions.
As of January 18, Barajas remains jailed in lieu of a $500,000 dollar bond.
