Two Non-Students Arrested Outside Texas A&M MSC Tuesday Night

Texas A&M police (UPD) report two arrests were made Tuesday night outside the Memorial Student Center during an appearance by National Policy Institute founder Richard Spencer.

UPD Lt. Allan Baron says one was arrested for felony assault of a public servant and misdemeanor charges of interfering with public duties and resisting arrest.

The second person was charged with resisting arrest and misdemeanor evading detention.

Names were not available Tuesday night, but Baron says both were not Texas A&M students.

Baron says agencies joining UPD for Spencer’s appearance and the university’s “Aggies United” event at Kyle Field were Bryan and College Station police, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, Brazos County constables, the Department of Public Safety, and agents with the local FBI office.

No law enforcement officers were injured.
