Two Men Wanted For Forging Texas A&M Football Tickets

From Texas A&M police:

The University Police Department (UPD) has obtained felony warrants for the arrest of William Gerard Brown and Clifford Lamar Pitts of Atlanta, Georgia. Both individuals are allegedly involved in the possession and sale of counterfeit tickets for the Texas A&M vs Tennessee football game on October 8, 2016.

Brown was arrested on October 8th and charged with 5 counts of Trademark Counterfeiting, after being found in possession of 5 counterfeit tickets. He was transported to the Brazos County Jail, where he was later released on a $15,000 bond.

On October 8th and the following days, the UPD received multiple reports from individuals that purchased counterfeit tickets for the Texas A&M vs Tennessee football game.

In one of the reports, four victims, who purchased counterfeit tickets, took a photograph of the individual and provided it to the investigator.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined the photograph was of Clifford Lamar Pitts. Pitts had been contacted on the day of the football game for allegedly selling counterfeit tickets, but released after being given a Criminal Trespass Warning for the Texas A&M University campus.

Working in conjunction with the Brazos County District Attorney’s Office, warrants were obtained charging Brown (one count) and Pitts (four counts) with Forgery – Financial Instrument, a state jail felony, punishable by a prison term of up to two years and/or a $10,000 fine.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Brown and Pitts is asked to contact the UPD at 979-845-2345.
