Two Local Drivers Arrested For Driving Without A Valid License With Three Prior Convictions

Two local men pulled over last weekend by local police for traffic stops wound up in jail on charges of driving without a license with three prior convictions.

Saturday afternoon, a Bryan police officer watched a pickup run a red light at Finfeather and Carson. According to the arrest report, the officer had to exceed 60 miles an hour to catch up with the truck. 26 year old Emiliano Rodarte Jr. of Bryan is out of jail after posting bonds following his arrest for not having a license and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. The arrest report also noted the driver had seven active suspensions. And the officer dropped charges of running the light, not having insurance, and a malfunctioning brake light due to the driver’s compliance during the traffic stop.

Sunday on the Texas A&M campus, a university police officer saw a driver make an illegal left turn onto Wellborn Road from a parking lot north of the bell tower. 41 year old Brian Barton of College Station, who was released from jail the next day after posting bonds, is also awaiting trial following an arrest last April for driving without a valid license.
