UPDATE: Two Dead, One Injured in Friday Head On Crash in North Bryan

Monday update:

A witness told Bryan Police the southbound car veered into oncoming traffic for unknown reasons. The driver of the northbound SUV then made a faulty evasive action and swerved into the southbound lane to avoid a collision. The driver of the southbound car then returned to his lane, resulting in the head-on crash.

Employees from Toyo Ink used extinguishers to put the fire out from the SUV and removed the driver. He was not ejected as originally thought.

The three year old girl riding in the car was in a safety seat and was removed by the Toyo Ink employees. She was released from an Austin hospital on Sunday. Police would not release her identity or her relationship to the driver.

Two men were killed and a three year old girl was hospitalized from a head on crash Friday afternoon in north Bryan.

The collision was on FM 2818 in front of the Toyo Ink plant.

Bryan Police reports a black Jeep Cherokee driven by 57 year old Casey Richmond of Bremond was traveling northbound and a silver Honda Accord driven by 26 year old Timothy Baldobino Jr. of Bryan was traveling southbound.

Baldobino was traveling with a 3 year old female child who was removed by a passerby. It is unknown if the child was secured in a safety seat but there was one on scene.

Baldobino had to be extracted by the Bryan Fire Department and was flown to St. Joseph Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The child was flown with Baldobino and then later flown to Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin and is listed in critical condition.

Richmond was ejected from the SUV, which had caught on fire. Richmond was transported to St. Joseph Hospital where he was also pronounced deceased.
