According to online jail records, it’s also the sixth arrest since April and 25th since 1999 for 37 year old April Thurman. A Bryan police officer stopped Thurman’s car after witnessing the driver run the red light at Texas and 21st, then failing to pull over for five blocks until she stopped at 18th and Preston. Thurman, who was arrested for driving with an invalid license with prior convictions, was out on bond on charges she denies of assaulting her mother and stepfather.

A Brazos County sheriff’s deputy reported the littering on Highway 21 yesterday (THURS) morning. The car drove what the arrest report stated was a “considerable distance” before pulling into a driveway. Toney Edwards, Jr. was arrested for driving with an invalid license with multiple convictions and evading arrest.

That led to the arrest of a passenger in the SUV. 18 year old Jacob Garbs of College Station was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, and evading arrest. It is Garbs second arrest in as many months. He was out on bond for two vehicle burglaries.
The victim of a convenience store robbery in College Station waited until the day after it happened to contact police. An employee at the Valero at Wellborn and Holleman reported Thursday that on Wednesday afternoon, an 18 to 25 year old black man who was confronted about a possible shoplifting knocked over a display case, threatened to hurt the employee, then ran off with the stolen item. The suspect’s description also included being of average height and build, had dreadlocks, and was wearing a green long sleeved shirt and red pants.
