Two Arrests After Drivers Went Around Barricades For Flooded Roads

Multiple high water rescues made during recent rainfall led to at least one arrest after drivers went around barricades.

According to the College Station police arrest report, the 48 year old Nary Ty of Bryan thought it was safe to go through the high water on Harvey Road near the Carter’s Creek bridge because she saw another vehicle do it. The arrest came after the driver and a passenger were rescued by College Station firefighters.

A second arrest was made by a College Station officer who was out of his vehicle on another case when he said he was almost struck by the driver of a delivery van that went around barricades. The van eventually stopped, and 47 year old Tammy Lacey of College Station was arrested for drunk driving and resisting arrest…after it took three officers to get handcuffs on the woman.

Both drivers are out of jail after posting bond.

No photos were posted for either driver.
