Two Arrested for Attacking SA Officers

SAN ANTONIO (AP) _ Authorities say two men have been arrested after allegedly attacking two police helicopter pilots at a San Antonio gas station, which led to one of the attackers being shot in the arm by an officer.

Gabriel Naranjo’s charges include two counts of attempted capital murder, two counts of failure to stop and give information, one count of evading arrest and another of assault with bodily injury to a public servant.

Naranjo, 28, remained in jail Tuesday on $406,500 bond. A jail official did not have an attorney listed.

The San Antonio Express-News reports that police say a second man also arrested hadn’t appeared before a magistrate judge as of early Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the Monday incident started when an officer intervened when an older man said he was being harassed.
