Two Arrested After Skipping Items at Target Self-Checkout

Two people were arrested on Sunday after police say they worked together to steal more than $270 in merchandise from the Target on Texas Avenue.

20-year-old Karim Mohamed Ezzat and 20-year-old Isabel Victoria Martinez were using the self-checkout and placed un-scanned merchandise into their bags.

Their actions were caught on video. Unpaid items included jewelry, clothing, and other products with a combined value of $271.50.

Both were arrested and charged with Theft of Property of $100 or more, but less than $750. They are each free on $3,000 bond.
