Twin babies have been removed from their home following an investigation by Bryan police and Child and Protective Services. The mother, 24 year old Markisha Burton, was arrested for failing to report her daughter and son, who were born last July, were physically abused. According to the arrest report, both sustained skull fractures. The little girl also had fractures in two ribs and a wrist, along with a laceration to her liver that could have been fatal. Bryan police continue their investigation, which began last November when the mother took her daughter to a local emergency room. Burton is out of jail after posting a $10,000 dollar bond.
