Jose Trevino smacked a three-run homer and Kyle Gibson picked up his fifth win of the year as the Texas Rangers bested the Oakland Athletics Monday night, 8-3 in Arlington.
Former Rangers all-star Elvis Andrus was greeted with a standing ovation in his first return to Texas since being traded in the off-season.
The victory snapped a six-game losing skid for the Rangers, who host the A’s again Tuesday night.
First-pitch is at 7:05 p.m. at Globe Life Field.
