Train Derails in Caldwell

A pair of Burlington Northern Santa Fe trains hit head on about 1:45 a.m. Monday at a switching station in Caldwell.

Four cars were taken off the tracks as a result of the collision.

The cars that derailed were not carrying any cargo.

No hazardous material was lost and no injuries were associated with the accident.

The railroad tracks were cleared by heavy equipment brought in from Houston, and were operational by about 1:30 p.m. Monday.
