A Bryan man released from a jail sentence early after entering a plea agreement to a reduced charge of assaulting a woman is arrested for hitting and threatening the same woman.
Bryan police responded Saturday to a disturbance outside Discount Tire.
According to the arrest report, witnesses thought 51 year old Marion Arnold had a handgun.
Upon closer inspection, police learned it was a folding knife that looked like a semi-automatic pistol.
The woman was treated at the scene by firefighter EMT’s.
This incident was three days after Arnold was released from jail.
He served 88 days of a 180 day sentence for misdemeanor assault.
According to online jail records, he was arrested in April for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
