Three men from California are arrested in New Mexico on charges of robbing a Bryan pharmacy.
A news release from Bryan police credits license plate reading cameras for finding the suspect’s vehicle.
This is after a 19 year old and two 22 year old men forced pharmacists at the Bryan 24 hour Walgreens store at 29th and Briarcrest to open a safe last Thursday (May 21) at three in the morning. An undisclosed amount of unidentified controlled substances were taken.
The Bryan robbery followed what the BPD news release said were similar robberies at an undisclosed number of pharmacies in the Houston area.
Investigators determined that the suspects entered Texas from Clovis New Mexico and went to Houston to commit similar robberies. Then they went from Houston to Bryan and were taking the same route back to New Mexico.
With BPD’s information from the license plate reading cameras, New Mexico State Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle. After a vehicle pursuit and subsequent foot pursuit, all three men were captured.
