Two 17 year olds and an 18 year old went to jail on charges of leading Bryan police on a pursuit involving a stolen SUV then running away from officers after the vehicle chase ended on a dead end street. The BPD arrest report does not say why a juvenile was in the SUV that was parked outside Neal elementary school at three in the morning last Saturday (April 26). That’s when the three suspects got in the SUV, one of them forced the juvenile out of the vehicle, then the suspects drove away. The group was charged with robbery, engaging in organized criminal activity, and evading arrest. 18 year old Zion Merchant Jr. of Bryan was released from jail after posting bonds totaling $34,000 dollars. 17 year old Caden De’Ron Jones of Bryan was released after posting bonds totaling $26,000 dollars. 17 year old Dequarius Wilson of Bryan was transferred to another agency after posting bonds totaling $26,000 dollars.

The arrest report from the sheriff’s office says on April 10th, Hurley was a passenger in a pickup on FM 2154 when he is accused of kicking the driver in the face, head, neck, and hand with his boot. That caused the truck to go off the highway. The woman who was driving got out and began walking with a dog. The arrest report says the victim believed one of her fingers was broken. Hurley remains jailed as of April 30th in lieu of a $50,000 dollar bond.

The arrest report of a Grimes County man who arrested and taken to jail for jaywalking in College Station Monday night (April 28) referred to the man being the suspect in a theft. Two days later, another College Station police arrest report is released that accuses the man of stealing a scooter last Saturday (April 26) at Wolf Pen amphitheater. The scooter was identified by a gold colored screw in the kickstand. Online records show 22 year old Tylik Williams of Richards, who is charged with misdemeanor theft, is in the Brazos County jail for the seventh time since May of last year. Bond on the misdemeanor theft charge was set at $2,000 dollars.
