IRVING, Texas (AP) _ Retail gasoline prices remain unchanged across Texas this week from last, but still at unusually high levels.
The weekly AAA Texas price survey released Thursday showed a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was retailing for an average price of $3.43. That’s 42 cents higher than a month ago and 75 cents higher than a year ago but 12 cents less than the national average, which also remained unchanged.
The auto club statement says crude oil prices remain above $100 per barrel on world markets.
The cheapest gasoline in Texas is found in Amarillo, where the average price of a gallon of regular unleaded rose by a penny from last week to $3.38. The most expensive gasoline is in El Paso, where the average price remained unchanged at $3.47 per gallon.
