Texas A&M’s Rudder Tower Evacuated Following Smell Of Smoke In The Building

College Station and Bryan firefighters responded Friday night to a report of smoke inside Rudder Tower at Texas A&M.

According to a CSFD spokesman, the source and location of the smoke were never found. That was after firefighters inspected the building’s electrical and heating and air conditioning systems.

The alarm resulted in the evacuation of the tower. The Rudder theater complex and the memorial student center were not affected.

CSFD was notified after someone pulled an alarm at the tower.
