BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Texas A&M senior defensive end Daeshon Hall was named Southeastern Conference Defensive Lineman of the Week on Monday after a disruptive performance in the No. 8 Aggies’ road win over South Carolina last Saturday.

Hall, from Seattle, Wash., posted six total tackles, including two sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss, while also pressuring the USC quarterback twice. It was the second SEC DL of the Week honor of Hall’s career. Last year, he earned the honor after making four QB sacks in the opener against Arizona State.

After five games, Hall leads the Aggies with 8.5 tackles for loss and is tied with teammate Myles Garrett for the team lead with 3.0 QB sacks and six QB hurries. Hall ranks in the top 10 in the SEC in sacks and tackles for loss.
