Texas A&M Women’s Swimming 200 Medley Relay Places 19th at NCAA Championships

If you planned to vote at the College Heights Assembly of God at 4100 Old College Road in Bryan, you’ll have to make alternate plans. Brazos County elections officials say the air conditioning has gone out, making the facility unavailable for voting on Tuesday. They considered the possibility of portable air conditioners, but worry they could overload circuits and affect the electronic voting machines. A College Station Police officer has been placed on administrative leave following an arrest on Sunday. 51-year-old Michael Christopher Kennedy, a Detective with CSPD was arrested by College Station Police on Sunday for Assault Causing Bodily Injury, Family Violence. Arrest records say that Kennedy pushed his wife during an argument where she hit her head on a wall. There was a security system in the home that recorded the audio of the event, corroborating the wife’s story. Internal Affairs will be investigating. Officials say that since it is an active investigation, no further comments will be provided at this time. Tuesday will be the next installment of the Texas A&M 150 speaker series. Arch “Beaver” Aplin III, class of 1980 and founder of Buc-ee’s, will speak as part of the school’s Sesquicentennial. Aplin will speak beginning at 4:00pm in Rudder Theatre. The event is free. Tickets are not required. Registration will be on-site only. Also tomorrow will be a Buc-ee’s popup at the University. From 9:30am to 6:00pm, visit Rudder Plaza / Rudder Exhibit Hall and the Barnes & Noble Campus Bookstore inside the MSC. They’ll be releasing the third co-branded Texas A&M × Buc-ee’s T-shirt celebrating Texas A&M’s 150th and will have plenty of other merch for sale. And…Buc-ee the Beaver is scheduled to be on hand.
