POSTGAME QUOTES
Head Coach Joni Taylor
On the mentality of the team moving forward…
“We told them in the huddle that there is only one option. We talk about your mentality is your reality, so what are you telling yourself? The people around you that you are surrounding yourself with, what are they telling you? In a time like this, you’ve got to be even more locked in to thinking the right thing, telling yourself the right thing. Getting in the gym, come into film. They do all those things, so it is hard, obviously. No one likes losing. We’re competitors, we don’t want to lose by any means, especially at home. But there’s only one option and that is to continue to stay at it and chip away. If you take another option, we already know what the result is going to be.”
Redshirt Senior Lauren Ware
On the rebounding efforts by Mizzou…
“That’s effort, rebounding is a skill, it is effort. Wanting to go get the ball, and they just beat us to all the loose balls. That’s just effort and something we need to work on.”
