A message sent by Texas A&M’s chief academic officer to employees and graduate students caught the attention of the A&M system’s new chancellor.

Chancellor Glenn Hegar posted on social media that A&M police will always cooperate fully with any law enforcement efforts.

That follows the message from provost Alan Sams saying the flagship is not aware of any verified immigration enforcement action against any students or scholars.

Anyone concerned for their safety, sees something suspicious or encounters a federal law enforcement officer on campus is directed by Sams message to contact university police.

And international employees and students are reminded of two university offices that provides support and resources.
